Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is reportedly attracting the attention of two Premier League title contenders. This is according to a recent report from the stables of popular media platform ESPN. It was disclosed that both City and Liverpool are monitoring the contract situation of Saka at the North London club. The Euro 2020 finalist will have two years left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium at the end of this season. He was a regular on the pitch as England lost the Euro 2020 final to Italy. Saka missed the penalty that confirmed the Italians as the Euro 2020 winners.
Arsenal are ready to offer Saka a new contract to ward off the interest of clubs such as Liverpool and Premier League champions Manchester City, but it remains to be seen if the attacker will put pen to paper on the new contract as he wants to play Champions League football according to the rumours flying around. Arsenal might be in a very difficult negotiating place with the Saka contract renewal if they don’t qualify for Champions League football next season.
Saka is not the only Arsenal attacker in line for a new deal. Brazil player Gabriel Martinelli is also expected to receive a new contract offer at the end of this season. The Brazilian has been in sensational form for the North Londoners since he made the left side of the attack his own over the course of the last three months. He has just been named the Arsenal Player of the Month for the second successive month.
